Cajun & Creole Cooking Experience Avail Now
Cajun & Creole Cooking Classes Avail for the Holidays forward!
This isn’t just a cooking class — it’s a full cooking experience. Together we’ll make one classic dish — your choice of Shrimp Creole, Crawfish Étouffée, Jambalaya, or Gumbo — beginning with a warm cornbread appetizer. Along the way, I’ll share a bit of the history behind the dish and the culture it comes from, so it feels like your own private culinary history lesson.
You’ll enjoy one entrée to share and two homemade desserts, I’ll serve your meal at a set table, handle all the cleanup while you eat, and you’ll leave with leftovers for the next day.
At the Friends Meeting House Kitchen: $180 for up to two guests
In your home: $145 for up to two guests
Additional guests: $40 per person Email me if you’d like to add a third, fourth, or fifth guest, and I’ll send you a checkout link.
Bold Journey Magazine
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, absolutely — and recently. Making a pivot from film to food has meant slowly separating from a career I once thought I’d do forever. I’ll always keep a foot in film — I still have projects I’m slated to work on, and I still love the process — but this new creative path has pulled me in a different direction.
There have been plenty of times I’ve almost given up, especially in the middle of change. It’s hard to step away from something that defined you for so long and start again in a completely new field. I’ve had creative ventures that haven’t worked, and others I’m still figuring out. But I think when you’re moving in a direction where doors are opening, that’s always a good sign. It’s how I ended up in film from fashion — and in many ways, it’s how I’ve ended up in food from film.

The Great Seafood Cook-Off New Orleans (2025)
We had an incredible time representing Vermont in my favorite city, New Orleans, at the Great American Seafood Cook-Off. It was so inspiring to be surrounded by such accomplished chefs. As someone new to this game, having the opportunity to travel, compete, and be part of such a fun (and intense!) event is something I’ll never forget. A huge thank you to Jen Pate for flying down, laying over, and running through it all with me.
